Mt Coot-ha Botanical Gardens Excursion

This term the Year 3 & 4 students from Brisbane Campus enjoyed an excursion to the Mt. Coot-ha Botanical Gardens at Toowong.

The purpose of the excursion was to explore living, non-living, and once-living things as part of our science unit 'Feathers, Fur or Leaves?'. Despite the heat, the students had a great time exploring the creepy crawlies in the leaf litter of the Australian Rainforest garden, examining tadpoles and other amphibians and intervebrated in the ponds, looking at the facinating Cacti House, and observing the birds and aquatic life at the peaceful lagoons on the garden grounds.

The students were very well behaved and did a great job of representing Agnew School while doing a lot of hands-on learning. A special thank you to all those involved in driving the buses and helping out on the day!
